Hamot Health Foundation and BUILD CDC recently rolled up their sleeves to serve at Our Neighbor’s Place, Erie’s seasonal overflow homeless shelter.
Assisting with clothing distribution, meal service, and simple moments of conversation, we had the opportunity to connect with some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors in meaningful, human ways. It was hands-on, behind-the-scenes work—focused on meeting real needs with dignity and respect.
Experiences like this remind us that building a healthier community isn’t only about programs and funding—it’s also about showing up, listening, and standing alongside those who need support. We’re grateful for the chance to serve and for the dedicated partners who make this vital work possible.
