Community Health

Hamot Health Foundation will work collectively to eliminate societal barriers that hold people back from leading healthy, vibrant, and productive lives.

Hamot Health Foundation’s community health commitment permeates the very core of our neighbors' needs, improving the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of all those in our community. From health screenings and prevention programs to game-changing initiatives addressing social determinants such as employment, housing, education, and counseling, Hamot Health Foundation is committed to addressing the most pressing needs of our entire community.

Committed to addressing the most pressing needs of our community and are leading strategies throughout Erie County to make a difference.

In 2024, HHF launched a subsidiary non-profit organization to double down on addressing social determinants of health. We named it BUILD Community Development Corporation and closely collaborate with this team to maximize effectiveness and leverage resources.

Together with BUILD CDC, HHF provides health screenings and prevention programs throughout Erie County, with concentrated efforts in neighborhoods with low access and high poverty. The street outreach team provides basic medical aid, resource navigation, health insurance enrollment services, and provision of life supplies to individuals who are homeless or in need.
