Thank you to everyone who was able to join us at the third annual Hamot Strong on May 5, 2018! We are proud to announce that together we raised over $131,000 to support continuing education at UPMC Hamot!

Great Lakes Hospice will again be hosting their fourth annual Camp Good Grief on June 20, 2018, at Camp Sherwin.

Hamot Health Foundation was proud to grant $6,000 from the Next Generation Fund to help the future leaders at Youth Leadership Institute of Erie continue chasing their dreams.

Hamot Health Foundation funds comfortable clothing for patients in the Emergency Department who need new garments upon discharge — including victims of sexual assault. Often, these patients have to surrender their clothing as evidence, or their clothes need to be replaced because they are torn and dirty.

​In December 2015, 24-year-old Ali Fuhrman tragically lost her life in a car accident that also critically injured her father, Pat. Pat works at National Fuel, and last year he approached his employer to ask if the company would be willing to sponsor the cost of Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) training, a nationally recognized program, in honor of his daughter.

​Care isn’t limited to the walls of the hospital, especially for a team of 14 UPMC Hamot staff members who traveled to Valladolid, Mexico, earlier this month. The team, which included physicians, residents, and other staff, spent the week providing free medical and surgical care to nearly 130 patients who otherwise could not afford or access the care they need.
