No family plans to be separated from their newborn
UPMC Magee Women’s at Hamot NICU provides the highest level of compassionate care in the region. It was a dream of our NICU nurses to reduce the stress for their families associated with having a baby in the NICU. They envisioned allowing parents who live far from UPMC Hamot to stay closer to their newborns and to increase their participation in their infant's care.
Through the generous funding of Hamot Health Foundation and loving collaboration between Grady’s Decision and UPMC Hamot, the NICU Family Apartments were established.
There are currently two NICU family apartments available and are conveniently located nearby, just 4 blocks from the UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital.
